Smoked Hot Dog Burnt Ends are sweet, smoky, and sticky BBQ bites made from hot dogs, perfect for parties and game day.

Ingredients

  • 15 hot dogs
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 4 tbsp BBQ rub
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (favorite barbecue sauce or tangy BBQ sauce works great)

Instructions

  1. Score hot dogs with a crosshatch pattern.
  2. Coat with yellow mustard and BBQ rub.
  3. Smoke at 250°F for 1 hour.
  4. Cut into quarters and place in foil pan with butter, brown sugar, and BBQ sauce.
  5. Cover and smoke for another hour, uncovering halfway.
  6. Cook until sauce thickens and serve warm.
