Ingredients

- 1 pound of 80/20 ground beef
- 1 pound of bacon
- 2 cans of bush’s Grillin’ Baked beans (22 oz bourbon flavor)
- 1 large diced onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 5 cloves minced garlic
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- ¼ cup Ketchup
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
For the Apples
- 3 Green Apples, Peeled and cubed
- ¼ cup bourbon
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Fry the burger in a large skillet and season with your favorite beef seasoning.
- Fry up the bacon until crispy then remove from the pan. Chop the bacon into bite size pieces then set aside.
- Cook the diced onions and diced green bell peppers in the bacon fat for 5 minutes over medium heat until softened. Add the minced garlic in and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Peel and cube the green apples
- Add the butter in a skillet and let it melt. Add the cubed apples and let it cook for 8-10 mins over medium heat.
- Once the apples are soft, add the bourbon and let it cook down. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon then mix thoroughly and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until it becomes sticky.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a durch oven or foil pad then mix thoroughly.
- Place the dutch oven on the smoker at 225°F for 45 minutes. Stir every 10-15 minutes
- Once beans are softened, serve them up warm.
