- 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef
- 1 pound smoked brisket, chopped
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 16 oz beef broth
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 29oz canned Diced tomatoes
- Diced chilies
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 16 oz canned Chili beans
For serving
- Crispy tater tots
- ¼ cup shredded cheese
- ¼ cup favorite queso
- 2 tbsp Herdez Chipotle crema
- 1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Brown 2 lbs of ground beef in a Dutch oven then remove.
- Cook one diced green bell pepper and one diced onion until soft.
- Add in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, a chili seasoning packet and 4oz green chilies.
- Add the beef back in with 16oz of Beef Broth then mix and add 15oz tomato sauce and 2 cans of diced tomatoes.
- Chop up 1-2lbs of leftover brisket then add to the chili with Chili Beans
- Place the chili on the smoker for 1-2 hours
- Serve with crispy tots, shredded cheese, a ladle full of chili, queso, Chipotle crema , sliced jalapeños and cilantro.
