Hamburger Steaks smothered in rich brown gravy and caramelized onions, served over creamy mashed potatoes—an easy, comforting dinner recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef 
  • 2 large yellow onions 
  • 4 tbsp beef seasoning 
  • 2 tbsp chives 
  • 1 brown gravy mix packet

 Chunky Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, washed and quartered 
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sour cream 
  • 2 tbsp potato slayer seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Bachan’s Roasted Garlic 

Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into thick ½ pound burger patties then season them with a beef rub.
  2. Grill the burgers, flipping them every 3-4 minutes until they reach an internal temp of 150F.
  3. In a cast iron skillet, cook sliced onions until caramelized.
  4. Boil potatoes until soft then combine in a bowl with remaining potato ingredients then use a hand mixer to combine.
  5. Add the burger to the skillet then pour the brown gravy mixed with water over top and let it thicken.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes then garnish with green onions and enjoy!
