- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 slices American Cheese
- 4 Brioche Burger Buns
- 2 tbsp Burger seasoning
- 1 tbsp Mayo (for toasting)
Burger Sauce
- ½ cup mayo
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Cut the onions with a mandolin or a sharp knife as thinly as possible.
- Evenly divide the ground beef into ¼ pound portions then form them into a ball shape with your hands.
- Assemble the burger sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small bowl. Mixed thoroughly until fully combined and set aside for serving.
- Place the burger balls down on a preheated griddle that is set to high heat. Evenly distribute all of the onions on top of each burger ball.
- Take a grill press, then smash the burgers down until flat. Season each burger with your favorite burger seasoning.
- Flip the patties after the burgers have cooked for 3 to 4 minutes, then add a slice of cheese on each patty. Let them cook for another minute then remove the patties.
- Spread mayo on the inside of your buns, then toast them on the griddle over medium heat until golden brown.
- Assemble the burger with a patty and a spoonful of sauce on top. Place the top bun back on then enjoy!
