- 1lb 80/20 burger
- 4 slices thick cut bacon
- 4 slices of brioche bread
- 1 large onion
- 4 tbsp mayo
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp burger seasoning
Homemade Pimento Cheese
- 1 block softened cream cheese
- 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4oz pimentos
- ¼ cup Pickled jalapenos
- ½ cup mayo
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Place the ground beef into a bowl and add in mayo, mustard and burger seasoning then mix thoroughly.
- Assemble the ground beef into ½ pound burger patties about 1 inch thick.
- Put together the pimento cheese by mixing all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside until serving.
- Cook the bacon on a griddle over medium heat. Remove once crispy then set aside on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb the excess grease.
- Add the onions on the griddle and cook them in the bacon grease for 8-10 minutes until they become translucent.
- Place the burger patties down on the griddle over medium-high heat cooking evenly on both sides until fully cooked. Approximately 5 minutes each side.
- Toast the brioche bread on both sides using a light layer of mayo.
- Assemble the patty melt with a slice of toasted brioche bread, onions, the burger patty, homemade pimento cheese and crumbled bacon.
