Smoked BBQ Party Ribs feature sticky barbecue sauce, tender baby back ribs, and incredible wood-fired flavor, making them perfect for parties and cookouts.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 20 party ribs 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 4 tablespoons BBQ rub
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 8 ounces Dr. Pepper (for spritzing)
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a paper towel for grip. Trim any excess fat, then use a sharp knife to cut between each bone, creating individual ribs.
  2. Coat all sides with yellow mustard, then generously season with the BBQ rub.
  3. Place the ribs directly on the smoker at 275°F. Smoke for 3 hours, spritzing with Dr. Pepper every hour to build a flavorful bark.
  4. Transfer the ribs to a foil pan. Brush generously with BBQ sauce, cover tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil, and return to the smoker for 1 hour.
  5. Remove the foil and continue smoking for an additional 15 minutes to let the sauce become sticky.
  6. Remove the ribs when the internal temperature reaches 200°F. Serve warm and enjoy!
