Smoked Cheeseburger Sliders
- 1½ pounds 80/20 ground beef
- 1 package King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Rolls
- 2 tablespoons burger seasoning
- 4 ounces pepper jack cheese, cubed
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
Baconnaise Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup crispy bacon, crumbled
- ¼ cup sweet relish
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon hot honey
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chives
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, pepper jack cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and burger seasoning in a large bowl.
- Press the beef mixture evenly into the tray from the slider rolls.
- Transfer to an oiled wire rack and smoke at 250°F for approximately 45 minutes.
- Cook bacon until crispy. Remove, drain, and crumble.
- Cook sliced onions in 2 tablespoons bacon grease over medium heat for 15–20 minutes.
- Combine all baconnaise sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Mix and refrigerate.
- Remove the burger from the smoker when it reaches 150°F internal temperature.
- Toast the slider rolls until golden brown.
- Assemble with baconnaise sauce, smoked burger patty, additional sauce, and caramelized onions.
- Slice into individual sliders, serve immediately and Enjoy!
