Smoked Cream Cheese with Hot Honey and Bacon is the perfect easy appetizer. Smoky cream cheese topped with crispy bacon and hot honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of Cream cheese
  • 1/4 lb bacon
  • 2 tbsp your favorite BBQ rub
  • 3 tbsp of Hot honey 
  • Crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Kamado Joe smoker and get it set to 275° F using cherry wood for sweet smoke flavor.
  2. Score the cream cheese in a crosshatch pattern then season with your favorite BBQ rub on all sides.  
  3. Place the cream cheese on a small sheet pan lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Place the block of cream cheese on the smoker for 1 hour. 
  5. Fry bacon in a large skillet until it is crispy then remove. Finely chop it up with a  sharp knife. 
  6. Remove the cream cheese from the smoker then top it with the crispy bacon and generous drizzle of hot honey. Serve with your favorite crackers or chips.
