This Bacon Jam Brisket Burger is for the ultimate BBQ lover! Juicy burger, smoked brisket, sweet bacon jam with jalapenos and BBQ sauce

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of 80/20 ground beef
  • 2 slices of habanero jack cheese
  • 1/8 cup pickled jalapenos
  • 1 tbsp of BBQ sauce
  • 4 oz of leftover brisket
  • 2 brioche buns
  • 2 tbsp of mayo

Bacon Jam

  • 1 pound of bacon
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 oz bourbon

Instructions

  1. Dice an onion and cut the raw bacon into bite size pieces.
  2. Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain the excess grease less 1 tbsp for frying.
  3. Cook the onions for 10 minutes until softened then add the bacon back in with the rest of the ingredients for the bacon jam. Cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Season the burgers with your favorite seasoning then cook them over medium high heat.
  5. Add a slice of cheese on each patty when the burgers are almost done cooking.
  6. Reheat the brisket on the griddle for 2 minutes each side then toast the brioche buns.
  7. Assemble with the burger patty, pickled jalapeños, brisket, bacon jam then top with BBQ sauce.
