- 1 pound of italian sausage
- 9 oz of three cheese tortellini
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 cup of chopped carrots
- 3 cloves of minced garlic
- 6oz tomato paste
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cups spinach
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ cup flour
Instructions
- Brown 1 pound of Italian sausage in a Dutch oven then remove and set aside.
- Sauté 1 diced onion, 1 cup of chopped carrots a 3 cloves minced garlic for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Add 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1/4 cup flour, 6oz tomato paste then let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in and deglaze the pot with 6 cups of chicken broth and 1 cup heavy whipping cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add the sausage back in, 9oz of tortellini and 3 cups of chopped spinach then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
