Add the burger patties on the griddle and let them cook for 3-4 minutes each side. Do not move them while they are cooking, the goal is to get some crust built up on the meat giving it extra flavor.

I used some 1/2 pound frozen Shaq burgers from Meat District for this cook.

Chop the burger up, then season it with salt and pepper or your favorite burger seasoning. Mix the chopped up burger with the onions then form up a pile.

Add the slices of American cheese on top then mix the cheese in once it melts.

You can use whatever kind of cheese your hear desires, but American cheese is what was originally used.

Assemble the sandwich by spreading mayo on the inside of a toasted hoagie bun. Next, add a half of the meat/cheese mixture, thinly cut up iceberg lettuce, tomatoes then top it with ketchup.

Roll the sandwich up in some aluminum foil and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
